League recap: Woodside Priory's league-best three wins lead to standings climb

West Bay league recap: 3/13/13

Top honors in the league this week go to Woodside Priory, which finished with three wins overall, good for best in the league. The Panthers beat Anzar 13-1 and Summit Prep 13-3.

Woodside Priory made the biggest jump in the standings this week, moving from sixth to first place in West Bay thanks to a 3-0 record over the past seven days. Meanwhile, Harker fell hardest in the standings, dropping from fourth all the way to sixth place after going 0-2 in the past week.

There were seven hitters that batted over .400 in the league this week. They were led by Cole March, who hit .545 this week (6-for-11).

Menlo's Graham Stratford racked up four RBIs this week, more than any other hitter. He now stands at six RBIs on the season, which puts him fourth in the league.

Kevin Cali was an RBI machine on Tuesday, as he knocked in five runs during the Eagles' 10-6 win over St. Lawrence. He went 4-for-4 and scored three runs.



Cali struck out 11 in Harker's 10-6 win over the Celtics on March 5. Over his seven innings pitched he allowed six runs on nine hits.
