Basketball Recap: Marquette Gets Big Win over Higher-Ranked Howell

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lutheran, Marquette was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Howell Vikings by a score of 49-38. The victory was all the more spectacular given the Mustangs' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Vikings are ranked eighth).

Marquette's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-9. As for Howell, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2.

Marquette has already played their next contest (against Westminster Christian), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Howell will be playing in front of their home fans against Fort Zumwalt West at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
