Basketball Game Preview: Faith Christian Patriots vs. Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders

Faith Christian is 1-8 against Harrells Christian Academy since November of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Faith Christian Patriots will challenge the Harrells Christian Academy Crusaders at 5:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Tuesday, Faith Christian beat Halifax Academy 69-59. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by exactly ten points.

Faith Christian got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was MATT PRIDGEN out in front who posted 24 points. JOSH PARKER was another key player, putting up 17 points.

Meanwhile, Harrells Christian Academy waltzed into their game on Monday with 13 straight wins... but they left with 14. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 72-52 victory. The Crusaders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Faith Christian better keep an eye on Dashaun Mckoy. He was instrumental in Harrells Christian Academy's win, dropping a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. That's the most points Mckoy has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Zicareian Mcneil, who went 7 for 15 en route to 16 points and three steals.

Harrells Christian Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in 19 consecutive matches.

Harrells Christian Academy's win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 27-2. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 28.5 points. As for Faith Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-12 record this season.

Faith Christian was taken down by Harrells Christian Academy 72-29 when the teams last played last Tuesday. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Faith Christian was down 50-13.
