Blind Brook's loss ends five-game winning streak at home

Recap: Blind Brook Trojans vs. Woodlands Falcons

The matchup between the Blind Brook Trojans and the Woodlands Falcons on Tuesday hardly resembled the 46-0 effort from their previous meeting. Blind Brook was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 57-56 to Woodlands. It was the first time this season that Blind Brook let down their fans at home.

Woodlands found their leader in underclassman Ashari Emuze, who scored 47 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Emuze has scored at least a third of Woodlands' points. Another player making a difference was Natalia Grabriele, who scored six points along with two steals.

Blind Brook's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-2. As for Woodlands, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.

Blind Brook will look to defend their home court on Friday against Croton-Harmon at 5:30 p.m. Woodlands will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hamilton at 4:30 p.m. on February 6th.
