The Maplewood Rockets will venture away from home to take on the Badger Braves at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Maplewood is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.8 runs per game this season.

Maplewood is headed into the contest having just posted their closest victory since March 29th on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out John F. Kennedy Catholic 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rockets.

Maplewood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Sexton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Meanwhile, Badger lost 15-6 to Grand Valley on Wednesday. The Braves have struggled against the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Badger's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Maplewood, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.

Everything went Maplewood's way against Badger in their previous matchup back in April, as Maplewood made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rockets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
