Baseball Recap: Channelview Beats Westfield for Their Third Straight Win

Channelview had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They put the hurt on the Westfield Mustangs with a sharp 10-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Channelview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Devan Martinez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2. That run marked the first that Martinez scored this season.

Channelview's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-3. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.7 runs over those games. As for Westfield, they are on a seven-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Coming up, Channelview will be taking part in a tournament against Pasadena Memorial at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. As for Westfield, they have already played their next match, a 7-3 victory against Spring Woods on the 28th.
