Basketball Game Preview: Phillips Wildcats vs. DePaul College Prep Rams

Having just played yesterday, the Phillips Wildcats will jump right back in to play the DePaul College Prep Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Phillips had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They fell 61-57 to Lane Tech on Monday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Champions recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, DePaul College Prep had already won seven in a row dating back to last season (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.6 points) and they went ahead and made it eight on Monday. They enjoyed a cozy 69-50 victory over the Vikings.

Phillips was taken down by DePaul College Prep 74-43 in their previous meeting back in November of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 37-17.
