Soccer Recap: Douglas Byrd Takes a Loss

Douglas Byrd was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against the Cape Fear Colts, falling 9-0. Douglas Byrd were not able to make up for their defeat to Cape Fear from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Douglas Byrd's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Cape Fear, they pushed their record up to 11-3-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

While Douglas Byrd had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
