Baseball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for King's Way Christian

While King's Way Christian's victory against Castle Rock wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights won by a run and slipped past the Rockets 2-1. Those two runs were actually the fewest the Knights have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Noah Myers spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up 11 Ks. Those 11 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for him.

The win (which was King's Way Christian's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Castle Rock, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-3-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. King's Way Christian will take on Mountain View at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Castle Rock, they will square off against La Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
