Basketball Game Preview: Panorama Pythons vs. Sylmar Spartans

Panorama is 0-10 against Sylmar since January of 2018 but things could change on Friday. The Panorama Pythons will host the Sylmar Spartans at 7:00 p.m. Panorama is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.

Panorama is headed into the game having just suffered their biggest loss since January 19, 2024 on Wednesday. They were beaten by Kennedy 63-35. The match marked the Pythons' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Panorama saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Raphael Latorre posted 18 points. Those 18 points gave Latorre a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Munguia, who had ten points.

Meanwhile, Sylmar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 72-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Reseda.

Panorama's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Sylmar, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.

Panorama took a serious blow against Sylmar in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 90-61. That game was all but decided by halftime, at which point Panorama was down 47-23.
