Baseball Recap: Meadowdale Comes Up Short

Meadowdale fell victim to Mechanicsburg and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 19-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Lions were not able to get on the board.

This is the second loss in a row for Meadowdale and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Mechanicsburg, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Coming up, Meadowdale will head out on the road to square off against Trotwood-Madison at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.38 runs per game on average), something the Lions will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mechanicsburg, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Liberty-Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
