Soccer Recap: Timpview Comes Up Short

After flying high against Wasatch on Tuesday, Timpview came back down to earth. The Thunderbirds fell 3-1 to the Springville Red Devils on Thursday. Timpview were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Springville earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Timpview's goal came courtesy of Leah Atuaia, who's now up to seven this season.

Timpview has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-4 record this season. As for Springville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Timpview will face off against rival Pleasant Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Springville is set to challenge their familiar foe Maple Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
