Basketball Recap: Clarke County Takes a Loss

Clarke County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Millbrook Pioneers, falling 71-38. The game marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Clarke County's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Lincoln Booker, who posted 14 points and seven rebounds, and Wilson Taylor, who almost dropped a double-double on 13 points and nine rebounds.

Clarke County's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Millbrook, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Clarke County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 75-35 loss against Wilson Memorial on the 27th. As for Millbrook, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Meridian at 7:30 p.m. on January 3rd.
