Baseball Game Preview: John Paul II Catholic Saints vs. Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots

For the second straight game, John Paul II Catholic will face off against Arendell Parrott Academy. The Saints will welcome the Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. John Paul II Catholic will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each matchup than the last.

On Tuesday, John Paul II Catholic needed a bit of extra time to put away Arendell Parrott Academy. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Patriots, sneaking past 7-6. The Saints haven't had any issues with the Patriots recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Max Mason was excellent, scoring a run while going 2-for-4. Joseph Caporosssi was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

Mason wasn't the only one making solid contact: John Paul II Catholic kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. The Saints are a perfect 4-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Arendell Parrott Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-4 record this season. As for John Paul II Catholic, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
