Baseball Game Preview: Manatee Hurricanes vs. East Bay Indians

For the second straight game, Manatee will face off against East Bay. The Hurricanes will be playing at home against the Indians at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Manatee is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

Manatee is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand East Bay a 3-0 shutout.

For East Bay's part, Cameron Cook was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 5.1 innings pitched. Cook has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, East Bay saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rory Beauford, who went 2-for-3 with one double.

East Bay moved to 15-12 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. As for Manatee, their win bumped their record up to 18-11.
