Basketball Recap: Grant Park Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Grant Park won the last time they faced Illinois Lutheran, and Blake Brown did his part to make sure it happened again. The Grant Park Dragons blew past the Illinois Lutheran Chargers, posting a 58-27 victory thanks in part to Brown, who went 9 of 18 en route to 21 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. The matchup was his eighth in a row with at least ten points.

Another player making a difference was Ian Hamann, who posted six points. Those six points gave him a new career-high.

Grant Park's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-13. As for Illinois Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 0-14 with the loss, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Grant Park won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Reed-Custer at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Illinois Lutheran has already played their next game (against Families of Faith Christian Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
