Volleyball Recap: Grove City Takes a Loss

Grove City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Westerville Central Warhawks, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on September 11th.

Grove City took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-22.

Quinn Loar paced Grove City's offense, picking up 15 kills. Loar got some help from Lilliana Beckstedt and her 28 assists. Beckstedt and Loar didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

Grove City's defeat dropped their record down to 4-15. As for Westerville Central, their record is now 7-11.

Grove City wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Pickerington North on the 2nd. As for Westerville Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-2 defeat against Lincoln on the 2nd.
