Soccer Recap: Aurora East Comes Up Short

Aurora East fell victim to Wheaton-Warrenville South and their airtight defense on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Aurora East can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois soccer rankings (they are ranked 180th, while Wheaton-Warrenville South are ranked tenth).

This is the second loss in a row for Aurora East and nudges their season record down to 9-9-1. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aurora East will take on Bartlett at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wheaton-Warrenville South, they will face off against Batavia at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
