Volleyball Recap: Braddock Bulldogs vs. Goleman Gators

After flying high against Hialeah-Miami Lakes last Wednesday, Braddock came back down to earth. The Braddock Bulldogs fell 3-1 to the Goleman Gators on Thursday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Gators apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Braddock couldn't get the win, but they sure gave Goleman a tough time in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 30-28, 20-25, 25-23.

Gabriel Perez-Malo paced Braddock's offense, picking up 32 kills. Perez-Malo got some help from Adrian Martin and his 22 assists. Perez-Malo was also solid from the service line: he led the team with four aces.

Braddock's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Goleman, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 5-3.

Coming up, Braddock will take on Reagan at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Reagan will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Braddock surely won't give up without a fight. As for Goleman, they will head out to face off against Belen Jesuit at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
