Basketball Recap: Crayden Shannon Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Shannon

Saltillo won the last time they faced Shannon and things went their way on Friday too. The Saltillo Tigers came out on top against the Shannon Red Raiders by a score of 59-47. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Saltillo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Crayden Shannon, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and five assists. That makes it three consecutive games in which Shannon has scored at least a third of Saltillo's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Foster, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.

Saltillo's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Shannon, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.

Saltillo didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-44 loss against Tupelo on the 14th. As for Shannon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 55-50 defeat against Ripley on the 17th.
