Softball Recap: King City Victorious

King City won the last time they faced Monte Vista Christian and things went their way on Thursday too. King City walked away with an 18-13 victory over Monte Vista Christian. The win made it back-to-back victories for King City.

King City got a massive performance out of Katia Slama, who went 3-for-5 with one home run, six RBI, and two runs. Those six RBI gave Slama a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Crystal Paramo, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.

King City's record is now 14-8. As for Monte Vista Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season.

Coincidentally, King City and Monte Vista Christian will both be playing Soledad the next time they take the field. Monte Vista Christian will host Soledad at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while King City will host them at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
