Basketball Recap: East Clarendon Wolverines vs. Mullins Auctioneers

East Clarendon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They lost 66-42 to the Mullins Auctioneers. The Wolverines were up 42-23 in the first quarter but couldn't hold on to the lead.

Mullins found their leader in sophomore Dakarai Worley, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points along with eight boards and five assists. Worley is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 13 games he's played. Amir Lee was another key player, putting up six points along with 11 boards and four steals.

East Clarendon's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Mullins, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten contests, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

East Clarendon will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Atlantic Collegiate Academy at 7:30 p.m. As for Mullins, they will head out to take on Kingstree at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Mullins is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 63.5 points per game this season.
