Softball Recap: Grandview Heights Snaps Seven-Game Streak of Wins at Home

Grandview Heights dropped their record down to 10-6 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's seven-game streak of wins at home. They lost 14-4 to the Northridge Vikings. The Bobcats were not able to make up for their defeat to the Vikings from their previous meeting back in March of 2023.

Tatum Lusher made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. Chloe Castle was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

As for Northridge, with the win, they broke their 17-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-19. Considering their hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

On Northridge's side, Mary Cate Spang was incredible, going 2-for-4 with six RBI. Those six RBI gave Spang a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Goodwin, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

As of now, neither Grandview Heights nor Northridge have any future games scheduled.
