Courtland is 8-2 against King George since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Courtland Cougars will head out on the road to square off against the King George Foxes at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Courtland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They fell 66-58 to James Monroe on Monday.

Meanwhile, the third road game was the charm for King George, as they earned their first road win of the season. They managed a 67-62 win over Culpeper County two weeks ago. With that victory, the Foxes brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Courtland better focus on containing Xavier Pryor and Aiden Wright as the pair were huge in King George's win. Pryor posted 24 points, while Wright dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds. The dominant performance gave Pryor a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Nick Smoot, who had ten points.

Courtland now has a losing record at 4-5. As for King George, they picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 2-4.

Courtland took their victory against King George when the teams last played back in January by a conclusive 54-29. Will Courtland repeat their success, or does King George have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
