 The Milton Panthers will be playing at home against the Pine Forest Eagles at 7:00  p.m.  on Monday. Pine Forest took a loss in their last  matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Milton, who comes in off a win.
 Last Monday, Milton beat Walton 6-3. Six seems to be a good number for Milton as the  team scooped up a  win with the same number of  runs in their previous game.
  Cade Burdette spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three  runs (all of which were unearned)  on four hits and racked up six Ks.
 At the plate,  Sayler Melton was  incredible,  going 3-for-3 with a  home run, five  RBI,  and a  double. The team also got some help courtesy of  Matthew Simmons, who  scored four  runs and  stole a base while going 4-for-4.
 Meanwhile, Pine Forest suffered a  rough 9-2 loss at the hands of Crestview  on Friday. Pine Forest has struggled against Crestview recently, as their  match on Friday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
 Pine Forest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Bryant Mason, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 Milton's victory  ended  a  three-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 4-6. As for Pine Forest, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-7.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Monday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Milton has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 7.4  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pine Forest struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 8.5  per game. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Everything went Milton's way against Pine Forest in their previous matchup  back in March of 2023 as Milton made off with  a  14-6 win. Does  Milton have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pine Forest turn the tables on them?  We'll have the answer soon enough.
