Volleyball Recap: Dr. Krop's Winning Streak Snapped at Five Games

After flying high against Miami Springs last Tuesday, Dr. Krop came back down to earth. The Dr. Krop Lightning lost 3-0 to the Goleman Gators on Wednesday. The Lightning's defeat signaled the end of their undefeated season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Goleman found their leader in sophomore Adrian Morales, who had 13 digs and four assists. Those 13 digs gave Morales a new career-high. Branley Borrego also deserves some recognition as he served his first aces of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Dr. Krop fell to 5-1. As for Goleman, their victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

Dr. Krop has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against JC Bermudez Doral on the 13th. As for Goleman, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Braddock on the 13th.
