Basketball Recap: Fairfield Union Comes Up Short

Fairfield Union lost against Warren back in February of 2020 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Fairfield Union Falcons received a blow as they fell 67-48 to the Warren Warriors. While losing is never fun, the Falcons can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 286th, while the Warriors are ranked 50th).

Fairfield Union is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-10. As for Warren, the win (which was their 14th in a row) raised their record to 19-2.

Coming up, Fairfield Union will head out to square off against Licking Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Warren, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Parkersburg at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The timing is sure in Warren's favor as the team sits on 14 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Parkersburg has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
