Baseball Recap: Alamo Heights' Loss Ends Nine-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Veterans Memorial last Tuesday, Alamo Heights came back down to earth. The Alamo Heights Mules lost 12-2 to the Marcus Marauders on Thursday. The loss was the Mules' first of the season.

Alamo Heights saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack Wright, who scored a run while going 1-for-1.

Alamo Heights' loss ended a nine-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 2-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Marcus, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Coming up, Alamo Heights will take on Walnut Grove in a tournament on Friday. Alamo Heights is facing Walnut Grove at the right time seeing as Walnut Grove is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Marcus, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Magnolia Heights at 5:00 p.m.
