Softball Recap: Upper Sandusky Has No Trouble Against Central Catholic

The Upper Sandusky Rams made easy work of the Central Catholic Fighting Irish on Wednesday and carried off an 11-4 victory. The result was nothing new for the Rams, who have now won seven games by six runs or more so far this season.

Aleah McCann spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, Madison Hart was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. That stolen base marked the first that she snagged this season. Another player making a difference was Hope Morris, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Hart wasn't the only one making solid contact: Upper Sandusky kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive matches.

Upper Sandusky's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Central Catholic, they moved to 7-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Upper Sandusky will face off against Seneca East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Central Catholic, they will square off against Anthony Wayne at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
