Volleyball Recap: Menomonie Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Menomonie can now relate to. They lost 3-0 to the New Richmond Tigers on Thursday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-12, 25-19.

Menomonie's loss dropped their record down to 5-22. As for New Richmond, they are on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 24 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

Menomonie does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for New Richmond, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Chippewa Falls on the 25th.
