Basketball Recap: KIPP Legacy Piles Up the Points Against Horizon Christian

KIPP Legacy was handed a heart-breaking three-point loss in their last matchup, but they sure didn't let that happen against Horizon Christian on Thursday. The KIPP Legacy Lions took their contest with ease, bagging a 72-45 win over Horizon Christian. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five games by 24 points or more this season.

KIPP Legacy was led to victory by Nick Mapp and Shalon Robinson. Mapp went 6 for 9 on his way to 17 points in addition to eight assists and seven steals, while Robinson went 8 of 13 on his way to 18 points and three steals. That's the most steals Mapp has posted since back in December of 2023. The team also got some help courtesy of Brandon Easley, who posted ten points.

KIPP Legacy's record now sits at 5-2. As for Horizon Christian, they now have a losing record at 4-5.

KIPP Legacy didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 76-52 defeat against Indianapolis HomeSchool Wildcats on the 27th. As for Horizon Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 45-43 victory against Herron on the 27th.
