Baseball Game Preview: East Eagles vs. Northstar Christian Academy Knights

The East Eagles will head out on the road to face off against the Northstar Christian Academy Knights at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

East took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They blew past School of the Arts 13-3. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven contests by ten runs or more this season.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Northstar Christian Academy). Everything went their way against Edison Tech on Friday as they made off with a 17-2 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Knights with their most commanding win of the season.

Northstar Christian Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 3-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for East, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.

East came out on top in a nail-biter against Northstar Christian Academy in their previous matchup two weeks ago, sneaking past 9-7. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
