Baseball Recap: Oratory Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Union on Wednesday, Oratory Prep came back down to earth. The Rams came up short against the Scotch Plains-Fanwood Raiders on Friday, falling 11-2. The Rams were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Raiders earlier this season, when they won 9-3.

Oratory Prep saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Blake Duddy, who went 1-for-2 with one run and one double.

Oratory Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oratory Prep will take on Millburn at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Scotch Plains-Fanwood, they will square off against Bridgewater-Raritan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
