Softball Recap: Delta Eagles vs. Monroe Central Golden Bears
Delta barely beat Monroe Central the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-3 margin over the Golden Bears on Wednesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Eagles needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Kaitlynn Burns made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double. Those two RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Destinee Drown was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since April 8th. Liz Bramlett was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three runs and three RBI.

Looking ahead, Delta will take on Muncie Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Monroe Central, they will square off against Eastern Hancock at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Royals will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Golden Bears surely won't give up without a fight.
