Baseball Recap: Eagle Pass Gets the Win

While Eagle Pass's win against Medina Valley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Eagle Pass Eagles came out on top in a nail-biter against the Medina Valley Panthers on Friday, sneaking past 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since February 28th.

The win made it two in a row for Eagle Pass and bumps their season record up to 10-6-1. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Medina Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-4.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Pass will challenge Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (Central Catholic 3.2, Eagle Pass 3.4) so any runs scored will be well earned. We've got a battle between Panthers coming up.
