Recap: Central vs. Cedar Grove

Cedar Grove had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 31-20 win.

Cedar Grove's offense came in ready to rumble, picking up 23 points in the first half. Central came up with 14 to make it 23-14 heading into the break. The other side of the ball was dominant for Cedar Grove in the second half, holding Central to a measly 6 points.

Senior Mike Lever, who threw 3 TDs and picked up 50 yards on the ground, was a major factor in Cedar Grove's success. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Michael Molteni, who racked up 9 tackles. The victory bumped Cedar Grove's record up to 1-0. The loss dropped Central back to even at 1-1.

Cedar Grove will look to defend their home turf next week against Hanover Park at 7:00 PM. As for Central, they will face off against West Essex.
