Softball Recap: Waukesha North Northstars vs. Kettle Moraine Lasers
Waukesha North had lost eight straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 3-15 to make it nine. They fell 5-1 to the Kettle Moraine Lasers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lasers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 back in April.
As for Kettle Moraine, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.6 runs over those games.
For Kettle Moraine's part, Briella Hack spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up seven Ks.
