Softball Game Preview: McCracken County Mustangs vs. Graves County Eagles

McCracken County is on a 12-game streak of home wins (dating back to last season), while Graves County is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Mustangs will host the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. McCracken County's pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so Graves County's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Thursday, McCracken County made easy work of Hickman County and carried off a 10-1 victory. Considering the Mustangs have won 16 contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Graves County earned an 8-4 win over Kennett on Tuesday.

McCracken County has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Graves County, their win bumped their record up to 16-14-1.

McCracken County was able to grind out a solid victory over Graves County in their previous meeting back in March, winning 8-4. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
