Baseball Preview: Little River Academy Bumblebees vs. Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls
The Little River Academy Bumblebees will take on the Anderson-Shiro Fighting Owls at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday. Little River Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Little River Academy picked up another tournament win on Saturday. They came out on top against McCallum by a score of 8-4.
Cylar Fuentes and Jamie Chipman made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Fuentes pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off one hit. Meanwhile, Chipman tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Fuentes scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4, while Chipman went 1-for-4 with one home run. That home run was Chipman's first of the season.
