Softball Recap: Pendleton County Beats Wahama for Their Ninth Straight Victory

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Pendleton County had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They didn't even let the Wahama White Falcons on the board, marking their second-straight 6-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcat have won 23 contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory (which was Pendleton County's ninth in a row) raised their record to 30-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.1 runs on average over those games. As for Wahama, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 28-8.

Pendleton County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Wahama, they will square off against Greenbrier West at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the White Falcons 4.1, the Cavaliers 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
