Baseball Game Preview: McIntosh Demons vs. Southern Choctaw Indians

For the second straight game, McIntosh will face off against Southern Choctaw. The Demons will take on the Indians at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.

Having struggled with five defeats in a row, McIntosh turned things around against Southern Choctaw on Thursday. They blew past the Indians 10-1. That nine run margin sets a new team best for the Demons this season.

Teddy Walker made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits (and only one walk). Walker was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, Hunter Reed was excellent, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, one run, and one RBI. Those doubles marked the first that he hit this season. Another player making a difference was Nathan Erving, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

McIntosh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

The win was their first at home , bumping their record up to 3-7. As for Southern Choctaw, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.
