Volleyball Recap: Sterling Takes a Loss

If Sterling was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Port Arthur Memorial on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Rangers lost 3-0 to the Barbers Hill Eagles on Friday. The Rangers were not able to make up for their defeat to the Eagles from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-12, 25-18, 25-10.

Sterling has been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season. As for Barbers Hill, the win was the 13th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-5.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sterling is set to square off against their familiar foe Beaumont United at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Barbers Hill will challenge rival Port Arthur Memorial at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
