Baseball Recap: Paul VI Comes Up Short

If Paul VI was feeling good fresh off their 14-0 takedown of Winslow Township on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Eagles fell just short of the Shawnee Renegades by a score of 5-4 on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Renegades apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Paul VI's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Shawnee, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with the victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

While Paul VI had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
