Recap: Foran Lions vs. Wright Tech Warriors
The Foran Lions came tearing into Wednesday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They blew past Wright Tech 67-18 at home. Foran might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won six matchups by 23 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Faith Doyle, who scored ten points along with seven assists and six steals. The contest was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Ava Sanz was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Foran pushed their record up to 7-1 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.6 points per game. As for Wright Tech, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-2.
Foran will head out on the road to face off against Hillhouse at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hillhouse will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Connecticut Rankings (they are ranked 115th, while Foran is ranked 28th). Wright Tech does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
