Baseball Game Preview: Foothill Falcons vs. Las Vegas Wildcats

The Foothill Falcons will challenge the Las Vegas Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither Foothill nor Las Vegas posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Foothill heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Palo Verde, falling 9-2. The Falcons just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.

Foothill saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zaden Kekoa Sibal, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

Meanwhile, Las Vegas faced Faith Lutheran in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 1-0. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 19-11-1. As for Las Vegas, their loss dropped their record down to 20-10.

Foothill couldn't quite finish off Las Vegas in their previous matchup on Wednesday and fell 7-5. Can the Falcons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
