Washington Union gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They came out on top against the Lemoore Tigers by a score of 34-21. For the Panthers, this counts as revenge for the 30-25 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in August of 2024.

Jareal Albert was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 201 yards and three scores on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. Another player making a difference was Mckinley Williams, who threw for 209 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Washington Union was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 210 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lemoore only rushed for 83 rushing yards.

Washington Union didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Albert and Paul Holland IV.

Although Lemoore took the loss, they still got scores from Aaden Solis, Keaton Lopez, and Blaine Guevara.

Lemoore is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Washington Union wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 28-21 victory against Torres on the 5th. As for Lemoore, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 42-6 win against El Diamante on the 4th.
