Softball Game Preview: Keyser Golden Tornado vs. Frankfort Falcons

For the second straight game, Keyser will face off against Frankfort. The Golden Tornado will challenge the Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Keyser is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Keyser is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of West Virginia's top teams: Frankfort, who was ranked fourth at the time (Keyser was ranked 21st). The Golden Tornado fell 8-3 to the Falcons on Wednesday. The loss continues a trend for the Golden Tornado in their meetings with the Falcons: they've now lost three in a row.

Brielle Root made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Bibs Felton was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run.

The victory keeps Frankfort at an undefeated 24-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 10.5 runs this season. As for Keyser, their defeat dropped their record down to 17-8.
