Football Recap: Manual Takes a Loss

After flying high against Centennial last Saturday, Manual came back down to earth. The Rams fell just short of the Kankakee Kays by a score of 14-12 on Friday. The Rams have struggled against the Kays recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sincere Wesley threw for 140 yards on eight of 19 attempts. Tacara Hunt was her top target, picking up 59 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, BreYasia Grayson rushed for 39 yards.

Manual's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Kankakee, they moved to 2-3 with that win, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Manual is set to square off against their familiar foe Belleville East at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Kankakee will face off against rival Bradley-Bourbonnais at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
