            Baseball Recap: Princeton Bulldogs vs. Hobbton Wildcats        
        
		
        
        
            Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Princeton). They skirted past the Hobbton Wildcats  6-4. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Bulldogs with their most commanding win of the  season.
 Evan Pate was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched one inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Pate was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most  hits  he has posted since back in April of 2024.

 In other batting news,  Branson Flynn was  incredible,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while going 3-for-4. Those  three  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Andrew Allnutt was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing  Two bases. while going 1-for-2.
Princeton's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 3-1. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.33 runs across that stretch. As for Hobbton, they moved to 6-1 with that  defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.
 Coincidentally, Princeton and Hobbton will both be playing Rosewood the next time they take the field. Princeton will head out to face Rosewood at 5:00  p.m.  on Friday, while Hobbton will head out to face them  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday.
