Basketball Recap: Dixon Takes a Loss

Dixon was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. The matchup between them and the Richlands Wildcats didn't end well, with the Dixon Bulldogs falling 56-42. If the Bulldogs were looking for revenge after losing 50-46 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Dixon still got an impressive performance from Jacorian Taylor, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Isaiah Pena, who posted eight points and four steals.

Dixon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Richlands, they moved to 4-9 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.

Dixon will challenge Lejeune at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025. After both having extra time off, Richlands and Swansboro will dust off their jerseys to take on one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 10, 2025. Swansboro knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten games -- so hopefully Richlands likes a good challenge.
